Melisa Field is a founding partner of Rogness & Field, P.A and a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). In 2024 she was named a “Super Lawyer” by Minnesota Law & Politics and Minneapolis-St.Paul Magazine, a distinction given to only 5% of attorneys over the age of 40. Each year from 2012-2023 Melisa was named a “Rising Star” attorney, a distinction given to only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40. Since 2023 Melisa has been named a “Best Attorney in America” in both Family Law and Mediation.

Melisa has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since 2008. She especially enjoys family law cases that involve complex financial issues, such as non-marital claims, business interests, prenuptial agreements, and hidden assets. Melisa has substantial litigation and courtroom experience. However, she strives to avoid litigation by reaching practical and individualized solutions for her clients and their families outside of the courtroom whenever possible.

Melisa is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114. She enjoys providing mediation services as part of her practice and working with families to creatively resolve their disputes.
